Red hot pop star Davido has opened his 2012 campaign with a brand new video for his sophomore record, ‘Dami Duro’.

The song has been a hit on the party scene for a while now so we are not surprised that for the shoot, he headed straight for the clubs. The video has flashy lights, lots of  liqour,  scantily-clad girls and impressive shots of Lagos Island at night.

It was directed by maven, Clarence Peters for Capital Records and is the kind of affair that demands heavy airplay.

Already, the signs are great – despite the #FuelSubsidyRemoval protests and the fact that it’s driven by clips of ostentatious living at a time Nigerians are protesting hardship, the song trended on Twitter n Lagos and everyone’s talking about it!
