A married mother-of-two from India who was accused of cheating on her husband was made to breastfeed her younger lover in public after been beaten by a mob.
The 24-year-old woman, who lives in the small village of Wardha, Mudhya Predesh province, was also tonsured [a religious practice of shaving someone’s head to show shame or humility.]
According to reports, the woman had been having an affair with a man in his 20s named Kamlesh and decided to take their relationship a notch higher by eloping with him to neighboring Gujarat province.
The police were alerted of the incident when a call was placed to them by the woman having been attacked by the villagers, detailing her ordeal to the authorities.
Officers from Alirajpur said they had made several arrests after they had received a complaint about 11 people from the village, had registered charges against them.
