A man wearing only trainers and socks was spotted by onlookers running around a park in North Wales.

The shocked bystanders who witnessed the sight in the Denbigh area and took a photo reported the incident to the police.

The man was seen while he was running through a Morissons supermarket car park.

The Mirror reports:

Concerned locals called police after the man wearing nothing but trainers and socks was seen jogging through the town on Thursday.

Parents expressed their shock at seeing him in a Morrisons store not long after children had finished school. Some took to Facebook to express their concerns.

One told the Daily Post : “I saw him run over town and all around Morrisons. If my kids had seen it, I would be fuming.”

Another said: “He was running around the car park then straight past us on Lenten Pool, over town and down Vale Street. The kids were mortified.”

Police eventually caught up with the man and detained him. A North Wales Police spokesman said he was not arrested but was taken into medical care.
