The governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong has said no goodwill message should be shared in the state during Nigeria’s 56th independence anniversary.
This was revealed in a statement signed by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Dan Manjang on Friday.
According to the statement, the ban was due to the economic recession plaguing the country.
Lalong also said political office holders should visit their constituencies and inspect ongoing government projects during the celebration.
He advised them to also visit Internally Displaced Person (IDPs) camps.
