Kidnappers abduct brother of former boss of DSS

Kidnappers have abducted Chief Asuquo Ekpeyong Ekpe, the older brother of Ita Ekpeyong, immediate former Director-General of Department of State Security Service.

The older Ekpeyong was abducted around 4am on Saturday, at his residence, in Creek Town, Odukpani Local Government Area of Cross River State.

Punch Newspapers reports that a family source, George Okon, said the kidnappers gained access through a canal leading to Ekpe’s residence and abducted him.

Police spokesperson in the state, Hogan Bassey, confirmed the abduction.

“We are investigating the matter. The kidnappers had invaded the house before but did not succeed. You know Creek Town is a very quiet place. We will soon get the kidnappers,” he said.
