James Faleke, the running mate to deceased governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Kogi State, Abubakar Audu- said on Wednesday, that he would be declared the governor of the state before the end of the year.
In spite of Yahaya Bello’s inauguration as Kogi state governor, Faleke sounds bullish about his chances of unseating the former.
Following the death of Audu on November 22, 2015 while the election results were being collated by the Independent National Electoral Commission, Bello was selected by the APC as the party’s governorship candidate of the party for the December 5, 2015 supplementary election.
Faleke was yet again retained as running mate to Bello, but he vehemently opposed his nomination, stressing that by law, he should be the governor-elect of Kogi state after Audu’s death.
Having successfully carried out his threat to stay away from Wednesday’s inauguration of Bello as governor, Faleke took to Twitter to express his stance on the matter.
Even in death, we celebrate your victory. Rest in peace Prince Abubakar Audu. On your mandate we stand. pic.twitter.com/27sTlS7MHU

This is not about tribal fight, I am not against the Ebira nation but the process that produced Bello as a supplementary governor.
