John Terry is staying at Chelsea for one more year

Happy news coming from Stamford Bridge as John Terry who is refereed to the fans as ‘Captain Fantastic’ has signed the 1 year contract offered to him by the Blues.

The defender’s current contract was set to expire on 30 June, but it has been revealed that he will be at the club next season, playing under new manager Antonio Conte

Terry who has won 14 major trophies with the club told the Chelsea website, ”I am delighted to sign a new contract with the club. Everyone knows I’m Chelsea through and through.”

“I am looking forward to next season under the new manager and hopefully we can make it a successful one.

“Also, a special mention to the fans for their continued support. You’re the best in the world.”

Chairman of the Premier league club Bruce Buck said, “We are delighted John will spend another year at the club.

“He has been the leader of the Chelsea squad throughout the most successful period in our history. He recently reached the 700-appearance mark, which is testament to his professionalism and dedication as well as his undoubted talent.”

This will be the Englishman’s 22nd season at the Bridge.
