Jonathan’s ex-ADC freed… after 3-weeks in custody

The former aide-de-camp (ADC) to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan- Colonel Ojugbane Adegbe has been released from by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Justice Yusuf Halilu of the federal high court, Abuja, had on Tuesday, ordered that Adegbe should be ‘released immediately’.

The former ADC to Jonathan was arrested more than 3-weeks ago by the EFCC over his role in the disbursement of N10 billion to delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Adegbe, during interrogation, had informed the anti-graft agency that he never opened packages when sent on errands by the former president, stating that he simply did as he was told.

He was subsequently transferred from the custody of the EFCC to the Nigerian army, last week.

The Cable reports that his lawyer, Ogwu Onoja, confirmed that Adegbe was released on Friday afternoon.
