There are reports that President Goodluck Jonathan today paid a visit to the former president, Olusegun Obasanjo in his Abeokuta home.

The president was said to have arrived with his convoy at Obasanjo’s expansive  Hilltop mansion around 11:52am with security operatives immediately beefed up in the area.

The two immediately engaged in a closed-door meeting with the agenda of the meeting unknown.

President Jonathan was originally scheduled to visit his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati over the death of his mother, Madam Maria Taiwo Abati.

Reports say some northern governors were already in Abeokuta and locked in a closed-door meeting with the former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) when Jonathan arrived.
