Eight people including seven policemen and a civilian were killed by gunmen who attacked Gwaram Local Government Area of Kano in the early hours of today.

According to reports, the gunmen numbering about two hundred attacked the area blowing up the police station and setting ablaze a bank and a Sharia Court.

Assistant Inspector General (AIG), Tambari Yabo has confirmed the incident.
