There are indications that the Federal Government has signed a ceasefire agreement with the dreaded Islamic group, Boko Haram.
Reports say the announcement was made by the minister of Special Duties, Alhaji Tanimu Turaki on Radio France International Hausa services monitored in Kano on Monday afternoon.
This agreement is coming on the eve of the Holy month of Ramadan scheduled to be observed starting from Tuesday throughout the country.
There have been previous reports of a ceasefire which has been opposed by the leadership of the terrorist group therefore a confirmation is keenly being expected from Boko Haram for this agreement to sail through.
