President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the sack of his Special Assistant on Social Development, Aisha Umar.

This decision was reportedly made public on Sunday by Sam Nwaobasi, the Special Assistant on Media to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim in a letter bearing Ref. No: PPR/OSGF/PR/02.

According to him, the termination of Umar’s appointment was “with effect from the November 25, 2013.”

The correspondence did not, however, give reasons for the decision taken.

The President had months ago sacked his Special Adviser on National Assembly Matters, Joy Emordi, Special Adviser on the New Partnership for Africa’s Development, Dr. Tunji Olagunju and Youth Minister, Inuwa Abdulkadir.
