The Spanish priest who was airlifted to Madrid on Friday after contracting the Ebola virus in Liberia.
Miguel Pajares, 75-year-old Catholic Missionary died earlier today after being treated with the untested and largely experimental drug, Zmapp.
Pajares was airlifted to Spain with a nun who tested negative to the deadly virus.
Over 1,000 people have died from the virus in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria after the first outbreak was reported in February.
A World Health Organisation (WHO) panel is expected to rule on Tuesday on the ethics of using ZMapp.
The priest was part of a Catholic order at St Joseph’s hospital in the Liberian capital, Monrovia.
