Just In: Judge withdraws from Fani-Kayode’s N4.9bn fraud case

The trial judge in the alleged N4.9bn fraud case filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against a former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has withdrawn from the case.

According to The Punch, Justice Muslim Hassan of the Federal High Court in Lagos withdrew from the case on Thursday.
He ordered the return of the case file to the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Ibrahim Auta, for re-assignment to another judge.
He directed Fani-Kayode and his co-defendants to go and await further directive from Justice Auta.
