SpaceX destroys Facebook’s satellite for Africa, Zuckerberg reacts

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket during a test on Thursday exploded on the launch pad, destroying a Facebook satellite the company planned to use to beam high-speed internet to Africa.

The rocket is owned by California-based private space firm and its founder, internet entrepreneur Elon Musk.

However, Facebook founder who is presently in Kenya has reacted to the unfortunate incident.

He wrote on his Facebook page;

“As I’m here in Africa, I’m deeply disappointed to hear that SpaceX’s launch failure destroyed our satellite that would have provided connectivity to so many entrepreneurs and everyone else across the continent.”
