Dr Mansir Nagoda, the Chief Medical Director of the Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital, Kano has disclosed to newsmen that thirty-one victims of the Kano bus park bomb attack which occurred yesterday are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

The CMD said the victims are receiving treatment for various injuries like burns, burst abdomen and fracture.

The victims are responding to treatment and they are being taken care of as directed by the state government,’’ he said.

According to one of the victims of the attack, the explosion came with a loud bang which disoriented him.

“There was a loud sound and the next thing I can remember was when I found myself in the hospital,’’ one of the victims, Musa Sabi’u reportedly said.

Meanwhile , the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) has called on the government to live to its responsibility by making sure such attacks do not repeat itself.

In a statement released by the party which was signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Emma Eneukwu, on Tuesday in Abuja, the ANPP condemned the act in its entirety.

“The ANPP received the news of the Monday bombing of a motor-park in Sabon Gari, Kano, by unidentified terrorists which killed scores of innocent Nigerians, with deep shock and sadness.

“It is high time our government faced the duty it owes every Nigerian squarely,” it said.

ANPP enjoined Nigerians to resist the urge to despair “in such a time like this because that is exactly what these elements want to achieve”.
