Producers of American Idol are said to be in talks with Grammy award winner, rap artiste, and G.O.O.D Music owner, Kanye West, to be a judge on the world’s biggest talent hunt. His name is the latest on the list of those who were said to have been approached for the role with the most recent being Nicki Minaj.

But sources say Kanye is still undecided about handling the gig since he currently has a lot on his hands – yes, Kim Kardashian can be a handful you know.

Another issue which might be delaying his decision is the pay, the rap superstar is reportedly expecting the producers of the show to splash some real cash on him just like they did on Mariah Carey who is singing to the bank with an estimated $18m on the American Idol deal.

Apart from Nicky Minaj who is said to be very close to signing a deal with the franchise, other big names linked with the judging role on the show are Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, and Enrique Iglesias. But Kanye West remains a clear crowd favourite.
