Kemi Adeosun ‘disagrees’ with Ezekwesili, but not with reality

#TheNewsIn6Lines:

Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili recently described the economic policies of President Muhammadu Buhari as ‘opaque and archaic’.

She also accused the All Progressives Congress-led government of employing a ‘command and control economic system’ whose ripple effect was hurting average, everyday Nigerians.

While millions of Nigerians agreed with Ezekwesili, a few others disagreed and one of such persons is – obviously the incumbent Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun.

While speaking on Channels TV programme, Sunrise, Adeosun said: “I disagree with Mrs Ezekwesili. The present government has a planned economy and does not operate a command and control economic system as alleged by the former minister.”

“There are no quick solutions to the current economic woes. We are going to pump N350 billion into the economy until we see growth.”

So what: Millions of Nigerians will just have to endure the prevalent severe hardship in the land while they await Kemi Adeosun’s N350bn.
