#KimKardashiandivorce: Kim promises to donate wedding gifts to charity

Reality Television superstar Kim Kardashian has made a public statement about her decision to file for annulment of her 72 days marriage to basketball player Kris Humphries. The 31, year old star of the “Kourtney and Kim Take New York”, revealed through her twitter handle, @KimKardashian, that her decision is motivated by a willingness to “follow my heart.”

Although Kim refused to point out specific reasons why she decided to pull the plug from a marriage built on an extravagant $10 million wedding ceremony that also reportedly produced more millions in coverage, she stated that she had high hopes at the onset.

“Everyone that knows me knows that I’m a hopeless romantic! I love with all of my heart and soul. I want a family and babies and a real life so badly that maybe I rushed in to something too soon. I believed in love and the dream of what I wanted so badly. I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn’t get off when now I know I probably should have. I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn’t know how to and didn’t want to disappoint a lot of people,” she wrote in her statement.

Kim also stated that she will be donating the gift she received from the wedding to a charity; this however has also drawn heavy criticism because many believes it is unethical because she’ll be making the donation under her name even though the gifts are not originally from her.

Meanwhile Kim has been spotted in Australia, just hours after after filing  for divorce last Monday, where she’s scheduled to promote her clothing line.
