Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello has appointed the first female Chief Press Secretary in the State and Northern Nigeria.
The former Senior Special Assistant on electronic media to the governor, Petra Akinti Onyegbule has been appointed the Chief Press Secretary of the state, taking effect from October 1st.
Her appointment came as the state government recently reshuffled its cabinet.
Onyegbule is currently the only female Chief Secretary in the country presently.
Other appointments are former senior special assistant on new media, Gbenga Olorunpomi, now the senior special assistant on electronic media and Jewel Odaubu is the new senior special assistant on new media.
