#KogiDecides: ‘Something funny is going on here’ | Wada fumes at polling unit

Accreditation of voters is winding to an end at the Kogi state governorship elections.

The governor of the state, Idris Wada, who is running under the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party has been accredited.

He was reported to have been accredited at about 11:40am after arriving at the Odu Ward 1 Unit in Agbiya at about 11:20am.

The delay in his accreditation was owing to the card reader’s failure to read his PVC until after several attempts.

The governor’s wife, Halimat Wada, however, could not find her name on the voters register at her polling unit in Odu Ogboyaga, much to the annoyance of her husband who declared: “something funny is going on here.”

The incidence form was filled after this development while the INEC officials complained that they did not have sufficient incidence forms to go round for the many people who had issues with their accreditation.

The Governor vowed to table the matter with the REC.

Meanwhile, APC flag bearer Prince Abubakar Audu, was accredited at exactly 12:18pm, at unit 010, Ogbonicha ward.
