Musician, Anthony Olanrewaju Awotoye, popularly known as Tony Tetuila, has declared his intention to run for a sit in the Kwara state House of Assembly in the 2015 general elections.
Tetuila who is under the All Progressives Congress (APC) will be representing Irepodun Local Government Area. He joins other Nigerians in the entertainment world who have taken bold steps into politics, such as 9ice, Julius Agwu, Kate Henshaw, and Desmond Elliot.
The “My Car” crooner used to be part of “The Remedies” music group before a split with the group and he went solo.
Although, Tetuila has been off the music scene for a long time, “My Car”, which was produced in 2003, remains his biggest hit till date.
