We are delighted to inform you have The Lagos State Government in collaboration with Afterschool Graduate Development Centre (AGDC) with help from The Future Project and others is hosting the first ever high-level interactive session between the State Government and the youth. The event is tagged “Youth Stakeholder Forum” and will also present to the audience the “Lagos State Ignite Enterprise & Employability Project”.
To ensure that our youth are fairly represented at this grand event, we are requesting nominations from Young Professionals Organizations based in Lagos for registration and attendance. We are very conscious of the quality of people (minds) that attend this event as this is an unusual opportunity for us (youth) to pour out our concerns and developmental ideas to the people who can do something about them. The stakeholders in government will be in active attendance and will work with the outcomes of this event in executing programs concerning the Youth in Lagos State.
We hereby invite you to participate if you meet the the criteria outlined below:
- Sound minded and socially active
- Between the ages of 20 and 35
- Have an understanding of the issues affecting the youth, and be able to recommend viable solutions to the problems in Lagos State

I was privileged to participate in the Youth Stakeholders Forum held in Lagos on the 3oth of October 2010. The initiative was brilliant and I thoroughly enjoyed the event. May I also add that I was inspired to contribute my own quota towards improving Lagos, supporting the Governor (Mr. Raji Babatunde Fashola) and creating opportunities for the youth of Lagos State.
However, I had some questions to ask the Governor which, due to time, I was unable to and wish to use this avenue to channel such questions. I recognise that the Government is doing so much for the youth in Lagos state.
This will be a great turn-around for NIgerian youths as a whole to battle unemployment. More power to your elbow, AGDC.
I was there live and the program inspirationally filled with DREAM awakining speech by guest and testifyers. His Excellency Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN)was at the top most spirit to make sure no stone was left unturned.

The Lagos state and AGDC Youth Forum was amazing! I watch the live event on LTV. It is a great inspiring moment for young graduate and other young people like myself. I commend the organizers of this great event. I recommend mentoring as a follow through tool to help harness and launch those inspired of starting any great project. I believe mentoring will strengthen the courage of the participants to start their own thing, from idea stage, to concept, then to its blueprint stage and then further acting on the product or service they desire to work upon.
