Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Rivers emerge big spenders in 2016 budget (Full List)

Lagos and Akwa Ibom states are set to be the highest spenders among Nigerian states in 2016, according to the budgets recently passed by the respective legislative arms of the 36 states.

Lagos has a total budget of N662.5 billion while Akwa Ibom follows closely with N426 billion.

Other high spending states are Rivers with N370 billion, Cross River- N350 billion, Kano state- N275 billion and Delta state with N266 billion.

The states with the lowest budget include Ekiti state – N67 billion, Taraba state – N68.8 billion, Niger state – N74.7 billion, Kogi state – N75 billion, Nasarawa state – N77.9 billion and Yobe state – N80.6 billion.
