1. Senate suspends confirmation of INEC RECs over Buhari’s stance on Magu

The senate on Tuesday suspended by two weeks the confirmation hearing of Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari over his failure to sack Ibrahim Magu as acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
