‘Leave Nnamdi Kanu, Peter Obi, Ekwueme out of your dirty schemes’ | Igbo youths unhappy with media reports

The Igbo Youth Movement (IYM) has warned politicians in the area to desist from dragging the names of Nnamdi Kanu, Alex Ekwueme and Peter Obi “into their dirty and imaginary dream world.’’

The group, in a statement released by its founder, Elliot Uko, described the attempt by some politicians to cause disagreement between the aforementioned Igbo leaders as actions from disgruntled desperadoes.

It said, ‘’Planting unfounded and quite unbelievable fairy tales in the social media, aimed at either discrediting or instigating quarrels among these true great leaders is ungodly, evil and a clear enemy action from disgruntled desperadoes, who hope to mislead the ignorant section of the public in order to achieve a predetermined ignoble end. It could also be part of a larger plot by external forces and their internal agents, to keep the great oriental region disunited.’

Reacting to media reports, the group said, ‘’Dr. Alex Ekwueme and Mr. Peter Obi did not speak at the Nike Lake Dinner. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the respected IPOB do not have any issues with Mr. Peter Obi. The desperate attempt to drag Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, whose current travails, have become the greatest event in this political space into the unending dirty politics of Anambra State is disgraceful and wicked.’’

‘’Any politician, who feels frustrated by the rising profile of his perceived political opponent, should kindly look for other ways to get at him. They should kindly leave Dr. Alex Ekwueme and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu out of their sinister schemes. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the IPOB do not have any issues with Mr. Peter Obi and are quite surprised at these vicious falsehood planted online by those afraid of Peter Obi.’’
