[The Legislative Blog]: That moment when a Nigerian senator entered one-chance on Twitter

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, representing Lagos West in the Upper Chamber is hardly one of those Senators who are vibrant on social media, especially Twitter. Today though, in the absence of a plenary session and just because TGIF, Senator YAYI Adeola took to his Twitter to share his thoughts on the Customs boss, Hameed Ali’s persistent refusal to appear before the Senate in uniform.

This is by far the biggest political controversy this week and Senator Adeola has passionately expressed his displeasure for the Comptroller General’s action.

But what interests us is this: It’s now evident that no one warned Senator Adeola about Twitter streets when he decided to join bad gang throwing tweets all around without caution. See the brutal responses to his tweets:

But he didn’t stop and these Nigerians fired up too, this time raising very relevant questions the Senate seem to have put on the backburner:

The question, “How does Hameed Ali in a uniform affect me, your constituent?” is one we should all emphasize.

And the tirade went on:

The people have spoken. We hope the Senator has taken notes.
