Let us know what Suntai’s state of health really is – Tsav pleads with Taraba Assembly

by James Sambo

A former Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Abubakar Tsav, has appealed to the Taraba State House of Assembly to constitute a medical board to determine whether the governor of the state, Danbaba Suntai, is fit to continue in office because the precarious situation in the state could only be salvaged by the intervention of such a board.

Speaking in Makurdi, Benue state, Tsav expressed regret that some people were using the governor’s ill health to achieve political gains, and so had a vested interest in deliberately concealing his true medical status and called on such people to cease or “face the wrath of God”.

“Enough of this greed for political power, the Nigerian Constitution is being put to test here, and I urge the Taraba assembly to come to the rescue.

“They should constitute a medical board to examine the mental and medical fitness of Governor Danbaba Subtai to determine whether or not he is fit to continue in office as governor of the state.

“It is unfortunate that such politicians do not care about the governor’s ill health, all they care for is themselves, is it that the governor does not have relatives who will stop this senseless gamble with his health,” Tsav said.

He warned the cabal, using Suntai’s ill health as a platform to perpetuate their political agenda on the state, to fear God by acting responsibly.
