Adamawa LG destroyed by Boko Haram calls out for help

Chairman of Madagali Local Government Council in Adamawa State, Alhaji Yusuf Mohammed on Monday pleaded with the Federal Government to assist in the rehabilitation of damaged infrastructure by Boko Haram in the council.

Mohammed spoke to the News agency of Nigeria at the council’s headquarters on Monday.

He said facilities like schools, hospitals among others have been destroyed by the sect.

Muhammed said, “Gulak town, the headquarters of the local government, is about 15 km from Sambisa forest, the den of the insurgents.

“The destruction of schools, health facilities, markets, houses, places of worship and community civic centre, is beyond imagination.

“The council secretariat has been completely vandalised and there is no single infrastructure left.”
