“Embrace ignorance” | Chimamanda Adiche gets honoured by Johns Hopkins University (WATCH)

As reported in April, world-renowned novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie was awarded an honorary degree from the Johns Hopkins University on Wednesday May 18 2016 at its convocation ceremony at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

And it wouldn’t be Chimamanda if the words didn’t take the road less travelled.

“Eat real food as often as you can,” she told the graduands. “And embrace ignorance. Say those words ‘I don’t know’. Because by embracing ignorance you open up the possibility of knowledge”.

She was honoured alongside Filmmaker, Spike Lee,  Academic leader Judith Rodin, Nobel prize winner Dr. Richard Axel, Retired judge, Honorable Ellen Heller, Renowned researcher Susan Baker, Eminent attorney Shale Stiller, Esteemed researcher Laurie Zabin.

Watch her dazzle.
