Magu’s appointment will be renewed whether the Senate likes it or not – Sagay

The Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Corruption (PACAC), Professor Itse Sagay, says the appointment of acting Chairman Ibrahim Magu will be renewed whether the Senate confirms him or not.

The senate on Thursday refused to confirm Magu’s appointment, five months after it received a letter requesting his confirmation from President Buhari.

Sagay stated this in an interview published by The Interview.

He said, “Whether they like it or not, he (Magu) will be there. His chairmanship will keep on being renewed.

“Since Nuhu Ribadu left, we have not had a man with such sterling qualities as Ibrahim Magu and whether they like it or not, Magu will be there until he completes his term under the law.”

The Senate said it refused Magu’s confirmation based on “security reports”.

  1. Mad professor. Na to naked enter market remain for you.

  2. This yeye Buhari lap-dog again. LOL Dementia has set in.

  3. Prof. Sagay not minding the security report against Magu is still insisting the man will be the EFCC chairman. That’s being silly.

  4. @am_mood1 He is fast sounding like a ‘political thug’ than a professor.
