As Boko Haram insurgents attacked Maiduguri on Wednesday, May 13, several residents fled for their lives.
The Nigerian army subsequently imposed a 24 hour curfew on the town and its environs.
The curfew notification was contained in a statement released by the Army Public relations officer, 7th division Maiduguri.
Early this morning, a few of the residents who escaped, began to return back home in trickles.
