A 36-year-old man, Ezekiel Inuwa has been arrested by detectives of the Uke Police Division for molesting a 9-year-old girl at Gidan-Zakara in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Inuwa reportedly carried out the crime at about 8:45pm on Tuesday, 29 July and was later arrested by the detectives based on a tip-off.

The report was confirmed by ASP Numan Umaru Isma’ila, the Police Public Relations Officer in Nasarawa state, who revealed that the suspect had confessed to committing the offence, also adding that investigations into the incident had already commenced.

The suspect who will soon be charged to court is currently being held at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Lafia, Nasarawa.
