Manchester City reportedly seal €26 million deal for Dortmund’s Gundogan

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly agreed a €26 million offer from Manchester City for midfielder, Ilkay Gundogan.

According to Goal, Gundogan is now set to become Pep Guardiola‘s first signing.

Negotiations between the club and Dortmund took a new turn in March when the central midfielder’s agent was spotted meeting the citizens’ sporting director Txiki Begiristain

Although both clubs have been at loggerheads over the transfer price but from all indications, City and Dortmund have finally settled on a €26 million (£20.1million) deal alongside performance related add-ons.

In spite of Gundogan’s dislocated knee cap inury which has ruled him out of Germany’s campaign at the 2016 Euros, the English club have still gone ahead with the move.

It has been rumoured that Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos and Juventus’ Paul Pogba are the next set of players to head for the Etihad.
