How MASSOB members were allegedly arrested today in Anambra churches

Today September 13, is the commemoration of the 16th year anniversary of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, (MASSOB).

It however, wasn’t much of a celebration, as it will be remembered for the arrests of several members of MASSOB… in churches.

Vanguard reports that members of MASSOB clashed with Police and other security operatives, in various churches in Anambra state, while celebrating the anniversary.

18 MASSOB members were reportedly arrested and one person shot, at St Charles Lwanga Catholic Church, in Okpoko.

Similarly, 11 members of MASSOB were said to have been arrested by the Police at Iba Pope Catholic Church, in Awada.

The arrested MASSOB members in the church at Awada, were said to have donned their uniforms to church, to celebrate the anniversary.

The report added that after the arrests, other church members continued with the thanksgiving service.
