Melaye, Tinubu agree to put away their swords

The President Of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, on Tuesday, made efforts to reconcile warring Senators, Oluremi Tinubu and Dino Melaye.

According to Vanguard, Saraki, in an effort to quell the over-flogged issue, met with both Senators separately for two hours each in his West wing office in the National Assembly.

Melaye, who represents Kogi west senatorial district, had allegedly threatened to beat up and impregnate Tinubu, wife of the national leader of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Tinubu.

Both Senators are members of the APC.

Sources say that the Senate President met with Tinubu for two hours before meeting with Melaye.

Saraki had told both Senators to put their differences between them for the unity of the party and that of the Senate.

Both Senators reportedly agreed.
