Finding love is one thing, keeping the spark alive is another. With this in mind, Metro 97.7 FM supported by Diamond Woman put together a Pre Valentine soiree “EVE; A NIGHT OF LOVE” with the theme February 15th; The day after. The evening of cocktails and networking was fun, inspiring and engaging. There were sessions with guest speakers taking turns to speak on different ways to keep the celebrated love glowing after the frenzy of falling in love .

So, On Friday 6th February 2015, some ladies and a couple of guys were gathered at the PGD’s Place (Diamond Bank HQ) Victoria Island for eye opening sessions, networking and Cocktails. The evening was hosted by the GM, Metro FM Cordelia Okpei and the EVE anchors; Nwadiuto, Ife, Feyi and Tsetsei.

At one point or the other, you would have heard a guy complaining about his woman going out of shape. Oh well, child bearing is not an easy task. However, Mrs. Iwo Akinyoyenu, a US certified fitness consultant and nutritionist spoke on the importance of eating right, exercising and tips on staying fit, fab and alive for you and that special one. She also taught the audience how to do the Kegel exercise – very useful exercise designed to keep the bedroom spark alive. Next up was Lara George.

The award winning singer and songwriter shared her story of God’s help in her celebrated ten years of marital bliss with her husband who is also her manager. She revealed that theirs was far from being love at first sight. They both had previously worked in the same office and she had actually hated his gut! They were however brought together when they needed to resolve an office conflict that led to dinner dates and the rest they say is now history with rings and kids attached.

To a lot of couples, external beauty is key and so getting it right is very important. Zaron Cosmetics’ Lillian, gave some simple but superb tips on makeup and looking good. Adaeze Ume, Head, Diamond Woman, gave revealing insights into savings and fantastic propositions women could tap into at Diamond Bank.

The last speaker for the night was Mrs. Vera Ngozi Osokoya, Director Marketing, FRCN Lagos Operations. She engaged the audience in a no holds barred conversation on “Keeping the sex alive”. Mrs Osokoya who is also a counsellor was as blunt and expressive as possible. And the men actually did the ‘shuffle’ on their seats with their souls blushing. That was a sight to behold!!

The night did not end without giveaways such as A weekend getaway for two, Spa session for two, Cakes and goody bags.

There were breath taking music performances by soul diva Evaezi, Geoffery; the winner of Project Fame 7.0, Neo Classical singer Ranti and Lara George who kept the audience entertained and dancing. The event was graced by ace photographer Kelechi Amadi-Obi and his wife, Azuka of Thisday Style, Immaculate of Project Fame, Fans of Metro FM and members of the Diamond Woman community.

EVE Night of Love was proudly supported by Diamond Woman (A Diamond Bank Proposition), Elle’s Ice box, Paul Odijie Photography, Ara Cakes and The Home Shop, VI.

Catch highlights of the event on EVE airing on Metro 97.7 FM every Wednesday 4:30 – 6 PM. The programme tackles issues from the woman’s point of view aiming to empower and inspire women to do, act and think better.
