A couple of artistes and celebrities alike are banking and cashing out on endorsing political campaigns. For instance, in Abia, Alex Otti is using footballers like Nwankwo Kanu and JJ Okocha to bolster his campaign for governor under APGA.
President Jonathan had entertainers such as Onyeka Onwenu, Joseph Benjamin amongst others to perform during his inauguration.
In Lagos state however, the theme song for the APC governorship candidate, Akin Ambode, was first released by Kwam 1 and other Fuji musicians and Yoruba actors and now a new one, ‘Gbabe’ is out featuring some A-list stars including Ice Prince, M.I, Olamide, Banky W, Yemi Alade, and Dammy Krane.
