Military assures positive result against insurgency

The military are again giving their reassurance that the insurgency raving the nation will soon come to an end as the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Kenneth Minimah, said that with the relocation of the military command and control centre to Maiduguri and Yola, Nigerians should expect the best and positive results soon in the anti-terror war in the North-east.

Minimah stated this on Saturday while during an interview shortly after he commissioned a reconstructed road and the renovated Buffalo Mess at Depot NA, Zaria, Kaduna State.

“With the pronouncements of President Muhammadu Buhari and the relocation of Command and Control Centre to the North-east in Maiduguri and Yola, we expect the very best result soon,” he said.

According to Leadership, he said they would increase pressure on the insurgents and are hopeful of a greater prospect for the war, which is favorable to the Federal government and also Nigeria.

Minimah further said that the Nigerian Army would continue  to fight in order to rid Nigeria of insurgents.

“As members of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, we will continue to fight in defence of the sovereignty of this country”, he said.
