21 year old Feyijimi Sodipo representing Ogun State has been crowned Miss Nigeria 2011 in the annual beauty pageant organised by Daily Times Plc.

Miss Sodipo, at the event which took place at the Expo Centre of the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos on Friday, 18 November 2011, told YNaija that “her tenure would focus on helping the less privileged in the country especially children and women.”
The new beauty queen, a student of German Studies, takes over from the outgoing queen, Oluwadamilola Agbajor, who won the 2010 revived edition.

The new beauty queen, who was understandably ecstatic about her victory, was chosen ahead of clear favourites, Miss Anambra and Miss Kaduna.

The first runner up was Miss Benue, Adamma Onyanta, a 23 year old Biochemist with a fledging passion for sketching and arts.

The winner of the pageant gets the grand prize of a full scholarship to any higher learning institution in the world, a luxury car, one year salary package of 3 million naira, and VLISCO designer collection for 1 year.

The first runner up gets a scholarship sponsored by Shell Petroleum to any higher learning institution in Nigeria; the second runner up will also receive a similar scholarship.2010-Miss-Nigeria-Oluwadamilola-Agbajor
