@MObanikoro takes @PDPNigeria, @JimiAgbaje to court over #Lagos PDP primary

by Kolapo Olapoju

Immediate past Minister of state for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro is heading to court to challenge the outcome of the governorship primary elections of the PDP, in Lagos.

Obanikoro, who lost the contest to Jimi Agbaje, has stated that he has taken the Peoples Democratic Party and Agbaje to court over the matter.

Obanikoro’s grudge is that during voting at the primary, 806 delegates were initially listed, but when the total figure for voting delegates finally came, 864 votes were apparently cast.

He made the disclosure on his Twitter page, stating that: “The 48 hours timeline stipulated by the PDP Electoral Guideline to address our appeal has elapsed without a response from the party. #MO”

He also added: “In the light of this development, we have proceeded to the Federal High Court, Abuja to seek redress. I urge all our teeming supporters to remain steadfast. We will pursue this to a logical conclusion and justice will be done! #MO”
