There was a huge fire outbreak at Mobil petrol station, on Oba Akran road, Ikeja, Lagos on Wednesday.

Reports say the fire which started at about 6.05 am was caused by a truck carrying 33,000 liters of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS)  whose tank was punctured by an iron.

It was gathered  that the tanker was trying to drive into the station to supply fuel but motorists who were already on the queue were reluctantly paving way for the tanker to pass out of fear of being displaced from their positions.

The petrol tanker managed to make way through until an iron reportedly punctured the tank causing a leak.

According to reports, the fire damaged some cars while a man reportedly got injured after getting trapped by an electric pole. He was later freed and taken to the hospital.

More details later…..
