MTN LFDW 2011- Anna Molinari trends Phunk Afrique

by Kayito Nwokedi

The long butterfly-print dress could have come right from one of Anna Molinari’s spring collections for Blumarine. That alone is an indication that the Phunk Afrique brand is right on trend. It was a very relaxing spring show that portrayed one message clearly; freedom and ease. For one thing, the prints were never overwhelming. Any chance of that happening was played down by tops or skirts of bold colors, so the eye couldn’t be distracted from noticing certain sexy details- the keyhole on a pale yellow shirt, cut-outs on the sides of a printed blue dress, and the askew neckline of a brightly-colored striped maxi. That sort of easy, sexy vibe is what women want, and this collection nailed it.
