AYOKA

MTN Project Fame on Sunday revealed its top 16 contestants with an entertaining night of soulful music and entertainment, that was quite unforgettable. The performances moved from R& B, to gospel and old classics handled by most with perfection. It was a good start, and with the quality of delivery this year’s MTN Project Fame looks like it is going to be tough for the judges.

LEONARD

With performances of ‘If I could turn back the hands time’ by R Kelly, ‘Knock on wood’ by Eddie Floyd, Alicia Keys’ ‘Girl on Fire’, ‘Aye Ole by Infinity’, ‘I’ll be there’ by Mariah Carey and ‘Waiting to Exhale’ by Whitney Houston to name a few it was a good night of entertainment.

OLUCHI

The judges after all the performances placed 5 of the contestants on probation for various reasons noting they were below www.projectfamewestafrica.com standards. These contestants could be leaving the academy this Saturday unless voters/viewers save them by voting through the MTN short code 306.

ROLAND

The contestants who are walking the tight rope of probation are Ayoka (Voting # 1), Oluchi(Voting # 15), Simon (Voting # 17), Rowland(Voting # 16) and Leonard(Voting # 11) to vote for them send their number to 306 from an MTN line. This year MTN PF is giving away a new Accent car for the highest voter which is a welcome development and will encourage viewers to vote both for the contestants and themselves at the same time.

SIMON

Who knows who is going home this week? Stay tuned to STV, ONTV, Soundcity, NTA & MiTV to catch all the daily activities in the academy. The show has several more weeks to go and many more eliminations before the winners emerge. All in all project Fame rewards more talent than other shows, and gives the top four contestants cash and cars too. This year the prize money has been doubled so that the winner gets N5m plus and SUV, 2nd gets N3m and a car, the 3rd place gets N2m and a car and the 4th goes away N2m richer. That is not a bad deal for many of the contestants who have not seen that kind of money before. Let us see if the money will make @ayoka_pf, @oluchi_pf, @simon_pf, @leonard_pf and @rowland_pf perform well enough to excape elimination on Saturday’s gala show. One thing is sure there will be good music.
