The youth of Ohaneze want the Ndigbo to give their support to Muhammadu Buhari.
Ohaneze Youths Council says it would be in the best interest of the Igbos to do that, since his success was the success of Nigeria.
In a statement released in Umuahia by the National President, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, he advised Buhari to allay the fears of marginalization by Ndigbo.
It said: “We urge the incoming administration to allay fears of marginalization of Ndigbo by dealing with Ndigbo and other sections of Nigeria with equity and fairness.
“Having been elected as President of all Nigerians, it is wise for him to disappoint party die-hards and ethnic irredentists, who may want him to do otherwise.”
“Buhari was voted largely based on his anti-corruption credentials. Any government that fights corruption is a friend of Ndigbo, since a Nigeria driven by merit and competence rather than corruption and tribalism, will favour Ndigbo.
