Pictured above is a young man that had a deadly brush with a moving train over the weekend after he walked into its tracks along Agege motor road by Airport bus stop, Ikeja, Lagos.
Reports say the yet-to-be identified young man apparently had covered his ears with ear phones as he walked into the tracks getting knocked down by the moving train.
Passers-by thronged the scene and rescued the victim from the clutches of death, though his head was battered. A LASAMBUS emergency ambulance raced to the scene and took him to Ikeja General Hospital.
We could not ascertain the state of his health as at press time.
The misuse of mobile head phones and earpiece is a very big dangerous act, people should desist from using them on streets, while driving, taking a strole, they're not meant for such purposes! Use wisely!!!
This young man who goes by d man Austine Abi later died that same day in general hosiptal ikeja…. He was rushed to d hosiptal by his friend dat was there with him @ d accident scene not by any LASAMBUS emergency ambulance…when we got to the hosiptal Doctors were on strike so nobody attended to him….besides he wasn’t with any earphones…
