NDLEA discovers laboratory used to produce illicit drugs in Anambra, arrests suspects

195 suspected drug dealers and addicts have been arrested in Anambra State.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) confirmed two out of those arrested were already sentenced to prison.

State commandant of the agency, Momadu Sule said that cannabis, Indian hemp and cocaine topped the list of drugs trafficked in the state.

Vanguard reports:

He said that following a tip off, the agency discovered a clandestine laboratory located at Nanka in Orumba North local government area where metaphilane said to be the most potent illicit drug was being manufactured.

According to him, the laboratory has been sealed up and he urged the people to always avail the agency with information on where illicit drugs were either produced or sold in the state.
