NDLEA investigating officers for drug-related activities

The National Drug and Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has said it is investigating some of its officers for allegedly aiding drug barons.

Chairman of NDLEA, Col. Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah disclosed this while addressing officers at national headquarters of the agency.

Abdallah said, “The agency is currently investigating some of its personnel deployed to man some sensitive beats and points for fraternising with barons and related organised criminal syndicates to frustrate the efforts of the agency in the smooth execution of its statutory mandate. Accordingly, any officer found culpable will be decisively dealt with and made to face the full weight of the law.”
