The heat was simply too much….
The Nigerian Entertainment Conference kicked off its third edition without any pre-event hitches.
The event which had a successful first and second season, failed to replicate the ‘organisation success’ in the third edition.
The entire hall was so hot that majority of the crowd were either fanning themselves or all clustered in front of the only surviving air conditioners.
It got so bad that people including celebrities started leaving.
We specifically heard Oreka Godis and Nikki Laoye lament about the heat, saying: “I’m getting the heck out of this place” in a conversation between themselves.
The show was a huge success in terms of turnout, but we guess the organizers weren’t expecting such a large attendance.
Perhaps, with the gift of foresight, next time, they will make a better arrangement for resources.
