Tuesday marked the one year anniversary of the missing Chibok school girls who were abducted by the Boko Haram insurgents on April 14, 2014 from their dorm rooms in Chibok.
To remember it, a march took place in which school girls paraded the streets in a peaceful protest in Nigeria. But we weren’t the only ones marking the anniversary as the incident became a world wide event following its unfortunate happenings. The whole world marked the day also and yesterday, the New York Empire State Building lit up in red and purple for the girls.
